Women's Mission Society

Women's Mission Society meets on Tuesday afternoons, January through November, at 1:30 p.m. in the church fellowship hall for tying, quilting, and embroidering, with devotions at 3:00 p.m. The quilts that are hand quilted by the women are sold at the yearly Nebraska MCC Sale with the proceeds benefiting the work of Mennonite Central Committee. The tied quilts are delivered to Mennonite Central Committee for them to distribute where ever they are needed in both the US and abroad. The Society also prepares lunches for funerals held at the church and visits shut-ins at local nursing homes and assisted living facilities. The group also sews and fills bags for health and school kits to be distributed by MCC where ever they are needed. In the fall, they take orders for fresh pecans, walnuts, almonds, and cashews to help fund their work. All are invited to attend!
